Try Your Hand at Painting Like a Master!
This is a two-session workshop

Spend the first evening exploring and analyzing the paintings and working methods of Monet. Then, in the second class try your hand at infusing your own work with the ideas and techniques practiced by this revered master. All supplies are included, including templates for beginners. This two-session course will be extended to explore the paintings of other masters such as Vincent Van Gogh and Emily Carr, if there is sufficient demand.

Self-Expression Through Drawing, or

Draw Your Heart Out (DYHO!)

Drawing is not as difficult as most people think. Seeing is the challenge and practice is the key to success. Open to all levels, we will discuss “tricks of the trade” that artists use to improve their perception. Discovering your own personal style and the stories you want your drawings to tell will be the focus of the course. We will explore classic and non-traditional techniques of creating drawings. Through guided exercises and studying the drawings of both old and new masters you too can master the ancient skill of drawing!
